Boy meets girl. Girl was cute, smart and funny! Boy fell in love with girl; girl fell in love with boy. Boy proposed to girl. Girl said yes.
The long version: Once upon a time, in a galaxy not that far away, Jason returned from overseas (from a far off world!) and Rachel, his cousin, said she had the perfect girl for him (after Jason's Aunt Ruth "suggested" Rachel find Jason a nice, Jewish girl). Rachel gave Jason's Michelle's email, and Michelle and Jason exchanged several emails before agreeing to meet in person.
Date number one was Sunday brunch at Harry's Tap Room. Date two was supposed to have been a night of pizza and bowling of Rock 'n' Bowl, but the bowling alley was closed for a private party. So Jason chose the romantic notion of seeing "She's Out of My League," a movie, that while cute, was not best of movies. Michelle said it's a good thing Jason was cute. The third date was a Passover dinner party at Michelle and Danielle's. The fourth date was a romantic walk to the Cherry Blossom Festival and a walk around the Mall. The rest was history... vacation to Napa and San Francisco, weekend at the Lake House, fall trip to the Big Apple to see Pacino in the Merchant of Venice, Christmas in Jamaica, New Year's in New York, Passover in Seattle and Vancouver, two more trips to the Lake House and Rosh Hashana in Connecticut...
And then there was the infamous June trip to New York for Jason's cousins reunion. Jason's plan was to propose at the top of the Empire State Building; due to unforeseen circumstances, Jason forgot the ring. Jason tried to convince Michelle it was essential to stop at the condo for some eye drops en route to see Billy Elliot, so Jason could grab the ring. However, Michelle was adamant there wasn't enough time and they proceeded from the reunion to the show sans ring. Since the show ended late, Jason's new plan called for the proposal to take place at the condo, with the lights dimmed for some nice, romantic ambience. Obviously, Michelle said yes.
